About the position
BluePearl Pet Hospital in Golden Valley, MN is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our Internal Medicine department. This full-time position offers flexible scheduling options, including a 4-day work week, and involves working closely with internists and clients to provide exceptional care for pets. The role includes a variety of responsibilities such as assisting with anesthesia, endoscopic and ultrasound procedures, and client education.
Responsibilities
- Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia for various procedures.
- Set up for ultrasound and radiology procedures.
- Assist with endoscopic procedures and maintain equipment post-procedure.
- Discharge Internal Medicine patients and provide client education on care instructions.
- Communicate with clients regarding patient histories and updates.
Requirements
- Phlebotomy skills
- Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT not required)
- Veterinary experience
- Laboratory experience
- Mid-level anesthesiology skills
- Veterinary technician experience
