About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Aiken Regional Medical Center is responsible for maximizing the hospital's financial performance, overseeing financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with various regulations. This role involves analyzing profitability, managing financial operations, and developing staff to enhance performance in a challenging and rewarding healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Maximize hospital financial performance by analyzing profitability of operations and making recommendations for improvement.
• Supervise the preparation of financial reports outlining the hospital's financial position and operating profit and loss statement.
• Participate in the preparation and timely filing of various financial reports as required by federal, state, and other entities.
• Develop employees through effective management practices, creating a motivating hospital climate and providing feedback.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely-related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant progressive financial experience, preferably in a healthcare organization.
• Working knowledge of GAAP, Medicare and Medicaid regulations, and federal and local tax regulations.
• Knowledge of business office operations from registration through discharge and patient billing resolution.
• Skilled in financial analysis, preparing schedules and reports, and using electronic spreadsheets and databases.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely-related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive financial experience in a healthcare organization.
