The CFO, Americas at Columbus McKinnon Corp will play a pivotal role in the financial oversight of the Americas region, reporting directly to the EVP Finance and Chief Financial Officer. This position is designed for a strategic leader who will partner closely with the President of the Americas to drive sound financial decisions that support growth, enhance profitability, and improve cash flow. The CFO will be co-responsible for the development and execution of strategies, ensuring that progress is objectively measured and corrective actions are taken when necessary. In this role, the CFO will be tasked with developing, analyzing, and interpreting financial information to measure operating results, including profitability, cash generation, and working capital management. The position requires a strong focus on performance measurement against forecasts, budgets, and prior year results. The CFO will lead and direct business unit financial planning and analysis, reporting, accounting practices, budgeting, forecasting, and internal control requirements, while also providing analytical support for new business proposals. The CFO will be responsible for providing business forecasts that deliver timely insights into the profit impacts of changes in revenue and costs. This includes developing and managing processes and systems that provide the management team with timely financial and operational information regarding financial performance. The role also involves developing and measuring key performance metrics, analyzing business trends and financial results, and advising on the financial implications of business decisions in a timely manner. Additionally, the CFO will identify and implement profit improvement opportunities, lead the implementation of financial-related projects and system implementations, and review audit findings to assist in the development of action plans and the implementation of corrective measures. The position requires the development, review, communication, and presentation of strategic plans, operating budgets, and forecasts, as well as the analysis of performance variances and the development of root cause countermeasures as needed. The CFO will serve as the main point of contact for corporate and business unit functions regarding financial matters, leading the development and implementation of financial goals, policies, priorities, and strategies linked to KPI metrics. The role also emphasizes driving cash flow, working capital, and inventory management initiatives, optimizing strategies to enhance cash flow, and minimizing working capital investments. Regular monitoring and implementation of corporate governance procedures, risk management, and internal controls are essential. The CFO will promote continuous improvement, efficiency, and competence within the finance function, ensuring that services provided are timely, relevant, and accurate. The position also involves mentoring, coaching, training, and evaluating staff to improve engagement within the Finance team, as well as completing special projects as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer.
