About the position

The CFO, Americas at Columbus McKinnon Corporation will provide financial oversight and strategic partnership to the President of the Americas. This role is crucial for driving financial decisions that support growth, improve profitability, and enhance cash flow. The CFO will be responsible for financial planning, analysis, and reporting, ensuring that the company meets its financial goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, analyze, and interpret financial information to measure operating results including profitability, cash generation, and working capital management.
  • Lead and direct business unit financial planning and analysis, reporting, accounting practices, budgeting, forecasting, and internal control requirements.
  • Provide business forecasts that convey timely insights into profit impacts of changes in revenue and cost.
  • Develop and measure key performance metrics, analyze business trends, financial results, and advise on financial implications of business decisions.
  • Identify and implement profit improvement opportunities.
  • Lead the implementation of financial-related projects and system implementations.
  • Review audit findings and assist in the development of action plans and implementation of corrective measures.
  • Develop, review, communicate, and present strategic plans, operating budgets, and forecasts.
  • Analyze performance variances and develop root cause countermeasures as needed.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for corporate and business unit functions regarding financial matters.
  • Drive cash flow, working capital, and inventory management initiatives.
  • Promote continuous improvement, efficiency, and competence within the finance function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 10+ years of corporate finance experience
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and legal documents
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's in Business Administration
  • CPA or CMA preferred
  • Experience working for a global publicly traded company
  • Knowledge of SAP, Oracle FCCS, and PowerBI preferred
