About the position

As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at FORVIS, you will play a pivotal role in leading finance transformation projects and optimizing processes within the organization. Your responsibilities will include identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements, as well as providing an independent perspective on market trends and best practices in finance and accounting. You will conduct in-depth analyses of existing business processes to pinpoint inefficiencies and bottlenecks, transforming raw data into actionable insights through interactive dashboards using Power BI. In this role, you will manage a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring the delivery of exceptional services while driving go-to-market activities. You will also be responsible for recruiting, training, and developing a team of professionals, fostering their growth and success. Your leadership will encompass all aspects of project management, including scoping, budgeting, executing deliverables, and maintaining effective communication with both the project team and clients. Building strong relationships with client contacts and team members will be essential for successful project completion. You will be expected to demonstrate independent thinking and decision-making skills, particularly in dynamic problem-solving, strategy development, risk assessment, and quality control. As a key member of the Performance & Process Improvement service vertical, you will contribute to practice leadership and proactively identify business development opportunities. Your exceptional verbal and written communication skills will be crucial in engaging with teams and senior management, as well as with clients, ensuring a professional and ethical approach to all tasks and obligations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead finance transformation projects and identify opportunities for process optimization and automation.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of existing business processes to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
  • Transform raw data into relevant insights via interactive dashboards utilizing Power BI.
  • Drive and support go-to-market activities while managing a portfolio of clients.
  • Recruit, train, develop, and guide a team of professionals to ensure their growth and success.
  • Take responsibility for all aspects of project management, including scoping, budgeting, and executing project deliverables.
  • Foster strong relationships with client contacts and project team members to ensure successful project completion.
  • Demonstrate independent thinking skills by making decisions related to engagements, including dynamic problem-solving and risk assessment.
  • Contribute as a key member of the Performance & Process Improvement service vertical.
  • Proactively identify business development opportunities and participate in client pursuits.

Requirements

  • 11 years or more of experience with at least 3 years of recent client-facing experience in a professional services organization.
  • 8 years or more of experience in project management and leading workstreams.
  • BA or BS in Accounting.
  • Thorough working knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Proficient in utilizing/implementing Trintech Cadency or other R2R solutions.
  • Expertise in finance transformation, system implementation, and business process design/improvement initiatives.
  • Experience with CFO suite technologies and systems used for Close Automation and Reporting.
  • CPA Certification.
