About the position

We are offering a 5-month contract employment opportunity for a CFO - Chief Financial Officer based in Dallas, Texas. This role is situated within the recovery center industry and requires a highly organized and detail-oriented professional. The CFO will be responsible for the day-to-day financial management of the organization, ensuring that all financial operations run smoothly and efficiently. This includes maintaining the board-approved budget and preparing to advance it from FY24 to FY25. The CFO will also be tasked with handling a capital campaign project, which is crucial for the financial health of the recovery center. In addition to financial management, the role involves overseeing medical billing and accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in these areas, as they will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all billing processes. The CFO will manage the transition from Medicaid and Medicare to accepting more for-profit insurance companies, which is a significant shift in the financial strategy of the organization. Furthermore, the CFO will handle various accounting functions, ensuring that all financial records are accurately maintained and that any billing issues or discrepancies related to medical insurance are resolved promptly. The CFO will also monitor and manage $800K in unpaid medical receivables, which is critical for maintaining the financial stability of the recovery center. This position requires a strong leader who can oversee the financial management of a residential recovery center that operates 24 hours daily, serving 120 clients and employing 200 staff members. The role is pivotal in ensuring that the center remains financially viable while providing essential services to its clients.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day financial management operations to ensure smooth functioning.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding and practical experience with Accounting Functions.
  • Knowledge of Medical Billing is essential.

  • Day-To-Day Management skills are necessary.
  • Ability to Resolve Billing issues effectively and efficiently is necessary.
  • Experience with Medical Insurance Billing is a must.
