Our non-profit client is looking for a Chief Financial Officer/Chief Strategy Officer who is responsible for overseeing and executing the financial strength of the organization, strategic planning and long-term sustainability. The CFO will work closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, and leadership team to drive strategic initiatives, ensure financial sustainability, and enhance organizational performance. This role requires a strong leader with a vision for financial excellence and the ability to provide thought leadership in a non-profit setting. The CFO will develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the organization's mission and vision. This includes providing strategic recommendations to the CEO, Board of Directors, and senior leadership based on financial analysis and projections. The CFO will assist in leading the strategic planning process and ensure alignment with the organization's mission, vision, and goals. Conducting market and competitive analysis to inform strategic decisions and identify opportunities for growth and improvement will also be a key responsibility. Additionally, the CFO will lead the financial planning process, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning, while fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and accountability. In terms of financial management, the CFO will oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and audits. Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting to the Board of Directors, funding agencies, and stakeholders is crucial. The CFO will manage cash flow, investment activities, and asset management to ensure financial stability, and will educate leaders through frequent meetings, utilizing data and feedback to drive decision-making that improves outcomes. Compliance with legal, regulatory, and funding requirements will also be a priority, along with overseeing risk management activities and ensuring adequate insurance coverage. The CFO will collaborate with the development team to identify funding opportunities and strategies to diversify revenue streams, providing financial insights and support for grant applications, donor relations, and fundraising campaigns. Team leadership and development are also essential, as the CFO will foster a collaborative environment that encourages teamwork and collective problem-solving, while mentoring the finance team and promoting professional development. Finally, the CFO will serve as a thought leader within the organization, contributing to the overall strategic direction and organizational effectiveness, and representing the organization at external events, conferences, and meetings, advocating for the financial health and sustainability of the community.
