About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Fairfield Memorial Hospital, part of the Deaconess Health System, plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing all financial activities of the hospital. Responsibilities

  • Administer, direct, and monitor all financial activities of the hospital.
  • Keep the FMH CEO, Deaconess Leadership, and the Board of Directors informed of the financial condition of the organization.
  • Develop financial goals and objectives for the organization.
  • Provide proactive and sound guidance regarding management of assets and investments.
  • Analyze financial trends within the organization and provide insights for decision-making.
  • Actively participate in hospital leadership and organizational performance initiatives.
  • Foster a team-oriented culture within the financial department and across the hospital.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field; CPA preferred.
  • Master's degree in accounting or healthcare administration preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of hospital financial management experience required.
  • Prior experience as a hospital CFO preferred.
  • Experience in a Critical Access Hospital preferred.
