About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Oregon at PeaceHealth is responsible for overseeing the Finance department's operational and financial performance. This role involves developing and executing short and long-term financial goals and policies, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and leading financial management practices within the organization. The CFO collaborates with executive leadership to align financial strategies with organizational objectives and is accountable for the financial health of the healthcare services provided.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of financial management, ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulatory parameters.
  • Advise leadership and stakeholders on financial matters, promoting clarity and effective decision-making.
  • Coordinate the annual financial and capital planning process, ensuring alignment with corporate processes.
  • Establish performance standards in collaboration with clinical and operational leadership, regularly reporting on performance.
  • Provide ongoing financial analysis and support for operational improvement plans to meet financial targets.
  • Support the design of financial and statistical information systems for reporting and budgeting purposes.
  • Analyze pricing strategies to ensure services are priced appropriately to meet budgeted revenues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of management experience in healthcare financial management or accounting.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting theory and financial management practices.
  • Experience in conducting financial/business due diligence for complex business models.
  • Current knowledge of compliance and financial reporting changes relevant to not-for-profit healthcare.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
  • Advanced skills in finance and accounting software.
  • Strong change management skills.
