About the position

The CFO of Sensitech will serve as a financial business partner to the General Manager, overseeing the financial reporting and performance of a $330M global business. This role involves leading a team of 15 finance professionals, ensuring accurate financial information, and driving strategic financial initiatives to support business growth and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the month-end close, monthly forecast, and annual planning process.
  • Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances.
  • Support senior leadership presentations including quarterly business reviews and board of directors materials.
  • Provide financial counsel on new and existing business strategies, including digital strategies and M&A.
  • Partner with Operations to drive financial performance and strategic decision-making.
  • Execute and support potential footprint optimization projects.
  • Lead financial integration for the Berlinger acquisition.
  • Drive finance transformation for Sensitech in conjunction with overall Carrier transformation strategies.
  • Support the SAP S4 HANA ERP implementations globally for Sensitech.
  • Provide technical financial subject matter expertise to the business leadership team.
  • Promote an ethical culture in support of Carrier policies and procedures.
  • Drive a culture that embraces continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance with 12+ years of finance experience or a Master's degree in Business with 10+ years of finance experience.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present recommendations effectively.
  • Proven track record of establishing strategic business partner relationships with management and functional leaders.
  • Strong knowledge of financial analysis techniques, budgeting/forecasting processes, and financial/cost analysis.
  • Expert analytical and spreadsheet development skills, with advanced knowledge of financial consolidation systems and Excel.
  • Ability to analyze large amounts of data and communicate findings effectively.
  • Solid interpersonal skills for collaboration across all functions and organization levels.
  • Ability to identify innovative processes and work efficiently.
  • Proven ability to delegate and execute with speed to meet reporting deadlines.
  • Ability to think outside the box and implement progressive solutions.
  • Strong ability to lead and develop diverse teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Exposure to Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), SAP, and Microsoft Office products.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA is preferred.
