About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will serve as the senior leader responsible for executing financial processes and deliverables for a top client in Palatine, IL. This direct-hire, onsite position involves strategic financial planning, risk management, and oversight of financial reporting and compliance, with a focus on driving profitability and preparing for an initial public offering.

Responsibilities

• Drive financial planning and strategic forecasting for the executive leadership team.
• Analyze and improve business profitability through risk and cash management.
• Review performance against expectations and identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure accuracy of the general ledger and financial statement reporting.
• Implement and maintain financial control systems to ensure compliance with corporate policies.
• Oversee financial reporting, audits, and budget implementation.
• Supervise financial and compliance teams and evaluate capital structure.
• Manage mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activities.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for initial public offering processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in senior finance roles within the EMS industry.
• Experience with Epicor ERP Systems or similar ERP systems relevant to the CFO role.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, analysis, and modeling.
• Proven track record of driving financial performance and strategic growth.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
