About the position

The CFO will oversee all financial operations of a well-established real estate owner/management company with a growing portfolio of commercial and residential properties. This role requires a strategic and analytical leader who can manage financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance while fostering relationships with external partners and internal teams. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment and contribute to the company's growth and success.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all financial operations of the company, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash management.
  • Follow-up on all projects/reports.
  • Assist in organizing various finance transactions.
  • Interface with external accounting firms, bankers, brokers, and varying internal departments.
  • Build new and manage current banking relationships to ensure ideal financing for new and existing acquisitions.
  • Manage and grow the accounting team, providing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, laws, and reporting requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to principals on real estate transactions and market trends.
  • Ensure that all financial reports are prepared accurately and on time and provide analysis and recommendations to senior management as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in Accounting, Finance, or Business-related degree.
  • CPA is a HUGE plus.
  • 15+ years of relevant finance experience in NYC property management and/or Real Estate.
