About the position

The CFO will oversee and manage financial operations, ensuring the company's profitability while participating in key decisions as part of the executive management team. This role involves managing IT groups, negotiating insurance policies, and participating in 401K committee meetings, among other responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze attorney productivity to ensure the firm's profitability
  • Conduct thorough analysis of billable hours to optimize resource allocation
  • Oversee all aspects of cash management to maintain the company's financial health
  • Manage the company's IT group to ensure smooth operation and efficiency
  • Review and negotiate insurance policies to secure the most advantageous terms
  • Participate in 401K Committee meetings to make informed decisions about employee benefits
  • Handle sensitive collections previously managed by attorneys
  • Examine financials more intricately to gain a better understanding of the company's financial status
  • Attend shareholder management meetings to stay informed and make strategic decisions
  • Use 3M, Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, Business systems, CRM, Accounting Functions, Auditing, Budget Processes, Capital Management, Cash Flow Analysis, Analyze Financial Statements skills to perform tasks effectively and efficiently.

Requirements

  • Must hold a minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior financial management role, ideally as a CFO or equivalent.
  • Comprehensive understanding and hands-on experience with 3M, Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, Business systems, CRM.
  • Proven expertise in Accounting Functions, Auditing, Budget Processes, Capital Management, Cash Flow Analysis, and Analyzing Financial Statements.
  • Exceptional knowledge of financial strategies and finance-related performance metrics.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to make strategic decisions and implement financial management best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information and complex financial concepts to colleagues.
  • Experience in corporate governance and business policy development.
  • Proficiency in strategic planning, business development, and corporate financing.
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to solve complex financial issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with stakeholders at all levels including board members, clients, and team members.
  • MBA or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred.
  • Professional certification such as CPA or CFA is desirable.
