About the position
Tatum is supporting a company in its efforts to hire a Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This role is crucial for the company's growth and involves navigating a potential sale process in 2025. The ideal candidate will be a key member of the executive leadership team, providing financial and operational insights while managing accounting functions and interacting with external parties.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO, providing financial and operational insights to support business growth.
- Lead and manage accounting and reporting functions to ensure GAAP compliance, including hiring a Controller for daily management.
- Collaborate closely with private equity sponsors on strategy execution and reporting.
- Work with banks and financing parties to address capital needs and ensure proper reporting.
- Partner with the CEO for day-to-day oversight of business objectives.
- Oversee the preparation of monthly performance reviews and reporting packages for investors and the executive team.
- Provide analysis and insights to senior managers and business line leaders to support ongoing business decisions.
- Assess business performance to identify and implement opportunities for revenue enhancement, cost containment, and resource optimization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 10 years of experience in financial operations or related roles.
- Prior experience in a CFO role is a plus but not required.
- Experience working for a private equity-owned company.
- History of interacting with banks and investor partners.
- Experience in helping an organization scale and expand is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to build relationships across the company and with external partners.
