About the position

Our client is looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their team, with a preference for candidates who have experience in the pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors. The CFO will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company's financial operations, guiding financial decisions in accordance with company policies, government regulations, and accounting theory. This role requires a CPA and involves implementing and overseeing various financial systems, processes, tools, and control systems to ensure the financial health of the organization. The CFO will conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and will oversee the preparation and communication of weekly, monthly, and annual financial statements. Additionally, the CFO will manage the budgeting process and monitor departmental budgets, ensuring that financial resources are allocated effectively. The role also includes overseeing the capital structure of the company, determining financing options, and managing treasury functions. Collaboration with other C-level team members is essential, as the CFO will play a vital role in shaping the company's overall strategy. This position demands a strong ethical code, respect for confidentiality, and the ability to lead and manage teams effectively. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities, along with strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the company's financial operations and guide financial decisions by applying company policies, government regulations, and accounting theory.
  • Implement and oversee various financial systems, processes, tools, and control systems.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Oversee the preparation and communication of weekly, monthly, and annual financial statements.
  • Manage the budgeting process and monitor departmental budgets.
  • Oversee the capital structure of the company, determine financing, and manage treasury functions.
  • Work alongside other C-level team members and become a vital part of the company's overall strategy.

Requirements

  • Must have proven experience in a CFO or similar leadership role within a finance department.
  • Proficiency in the use of 3M and other relevant accounting software systems.
  • Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is a requirement.
  • Should demonstrate a deep understanding of CapEx.
  • Experience in using CRM for client management is necessary.
  • Proficiency in accounting functions including auditing, budget processes, and capital management.
  • Must have a strong background in cash flow analysis.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Must have a strong ethical code and respect confidentiality.
  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required; a master's degree or CPA is preferred.
