About the position

We are a Real Estate Investments company dedicated to improving the communities we invest in while providing our investors with above-average returns. We are currently seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with extensive experience in financial management and operations. As the CFO, you will lead the accounting team, oversee financial operations, and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting. You will be responsible for tracking capital projects, coordinating with our lenders, and collaborating with outside CPAs for both tax and audit purposes. In this role, you will report directly to the CEO and work closely with various departments, including Accounting, Development, Construction, and Property Management. Your primary responsibilities will include directing financial operations, managing organizational projects, and analyzing data to assess the effectiveness of operations and projects. You will also collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction and manage multiple projects at varying stages. Additionally, you will be responsible for capital tracking and forecasting, ensuring timely financial statements, and overseeing reconciliations, cash forecasting, corporate accounting, balance sheet reconciliation, depreciation, year-end closing, and tax and audit preparation. Our ideal candidate will have 10-15 years of relevant experience and possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field. You will bring strong financial reporting skills, a deep understanding of reconciliations, cash forecasting, and corporate accounting, as well as experience with fixed assets and year-end closing processes.   • Experience with depreciation and year-end closing processes.
