About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations of an innovative global technology and telecommunications company based in Chicago, IL. This high-impact position involves managing financial control environments, spearheading mergers and acquisitions, and driving strategic financial planning and growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will leverage their extensive experience in financial management, particularly within the technology or telecommunications sectors, to lead the company towards achieving its financial goals.

Responsibilities

• Manage the financial control environment to mitigate risks.
• Oversee cash flow management, including debt collection, accounts payables, stock-taking, and forecasting.
• Ensure robust record-keeping for audit trails and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and integration, drive growth initiatives and cost optimization strategies.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end IFRS financial reporting for international counterparts.
• Conduct financial evaluations and optimize the P&L from top to bottom.
• Oversight of the operational finance teams to ensure efficient functioning of all financial related duties.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in financial management, with 5+ years at senior level.
• Strong background in the Technology industry.
• CPA required.
• Experience with M&A and ERP implementation.
• Experience with small company finances preferred.
• Experience with Business Central is a plus.
• International experience or IFRS preferred.
• Highly developed communication and leadership skills.
