We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to manage our financial operations in Honolulu, Hawaii. This role involves overseeing all aspects of our financial health, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and regulatory compliance in the non-profit industry. The CFO will design and implement financial strategies that support the organization's mission and objectives, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all financial records. This position requires a strong leader who can supervise all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, while maintaining compliance with all financial and regulatory norms, including tax filings and audits. The CFO will prepare and present financial reports and analysis to the executive team and board of directors, manage relationships with external partners such as banks and auditors, and direct the annual budgeting process while monitoring performance against the budget. Additionally, the CFO will develop and maintain financial forecasting models to guide long-term planning and decision-making, collaborating with senior leaders in developing strategic plans that align with the organization's mission and vision. This role also involves providing financial guidance and support to Project Directors, leading, mentoring, and developing the accounting team, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement and detail-oriented development. The CFO will update the board of directors about the organization's financial performance, forecasts, and potential risks and opportunities, develop financial policies and procedures in collaboration with the President/CEO and board of directors, oversee tax filings and compliance, and ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations. A strong understanding of accounting standards and best practices is essential for this role.
