The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a pivotal role within the organization, responsible for overseeing the financial operations and ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the organization. This full-time position is based at 1001 Sycamore Ln, Danville, IN 46122, and involves managing the accounting staff and other assigned personnel. The CFO will work closely with the CEO to develop and implement financial strategies that align with the mission of Sycamore Services. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage a team effectively. The CFO will be responsible for all financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and compliance requirements, ensuring that the organization meets its financial obligations and maintains accurate financial records. In this role, the CFO will manage and supervise all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. The position involves ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial records, including the general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and other financial systems. The CFO will plan, direct, and coordinate all accounting operational functions and the work of the accounting team members to prepare financial statements. Additionally, the CFO will present financial statements to the board of directors, CEO, COO, program directors, and other staff, providing vital information and reports to support decision-making processes. The CFO will oversee grant revenue recognition and reconciliation of grant revenue and expenses, manage the budget process, and review and analyze budget performance and variances. This role also includes ensuring timely filing of all tax returns, annual audits, and various compliance and regulatory reports. The CFO will monitor payables, budget variances, and important trends, maintaining business performance metrics while enforcing policies, procedures, and systems to ensure proper internal controls. Furthermore, the CFO will be responsible for managing, training, and retaining skilled accounting staff, maintaining confidentiality, integrity, and trustworthiness, and updating the financial accounting procedure manual as needed. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
