About the position

As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Horizon Manufacturing, you will oversee all financial activities and strategies of the company. This pivotal role involves driving financial growth, stability, and sustainability in alignment with the company's goals and objectives, while reporting directly to the CEO.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making processes.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide insights to the executive team for informed decision-making.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing financial reviews to ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Oversee the preparation and distribution of accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and tax obligations.
  • Coordinate audits and reviews with external auditors and regulatory agencies.
  • Manage cash flow and liquidity to support operational needs and strategic initiatives.
  • Optimize working capital management, including receivables, payables, and inventory.
  • Develop and implement strategies for capital allocation and investment decisions.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, including market, credit, and operational risks.
  • Establish and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain insurance programs to protect against potential liabilities.
  • Provide strategic financial leadership and guidance to the executive team and board of directors.
  • Collaborate with other functional leaders to drive cross-functional initiatives and achieve company objectives.
  • Evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic opportunities to support growth and expansion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 5 years of progressive experience in financial management.
  • Proven track record of success in financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, and strategic decision-making.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
