About the position

We are seeking a CFO to join our team in Louisville, Kentucky. This role is integral to our operations, with responsibilities spanning across strategic planning, financial policy development, and supervision of our accounting functions. The CFO will be accountable for directing and coordinating all financial and accounting activities, along with ensuring the agency's financial stability, liquidity, and growth. The position requires a strong leader who can manage a team effectively and communicate financial strategies to other executives and stakeholders. The CFO will direct and coordinate financial and accounting activities, including audits and budgets. This includes developing and implementing financial policies and practices in collaboration with other executives. The role also involves supervising the agency's financial reporting, accounting functions, and accounting staff, ensuring that all financial operations are conducted efficiently and in compliance with regulations. In addition to overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable activity, the CFO will prepare financial reports or budgets for internal and external use. They will review the corporation's books for correctness and completeness, ensuring that correct accounting procedures and good internal controls are maintained. The CFO will appraise the agency's financial position and issue periodic reports on financial stability, liquidity, and growth, while also overseeing the agency's long-term and short-term financial plans and investments. The role requires assisting with strategic planning for the organization, coordinating, directing, and assisting with the agency's annual audits, financial reports, and tax returns. The CFO will also oversee the development of the Annual Budget, maintain professional relationships with all appropriate financial institutions and regulatory agencies, and manage all commercial loans for the organization and related entities. Additionally, the CFO will provide reporting for Funding Agencies as required, perform Asset Management Duties including maintaining Deal Books, manage Commercial Insurance Coverage for the company, and provide analysis and support for other functions and departments. Other related duties may be assigned as necessary.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a CFO or similar senior financial managerial role.
  • Proficiency in 3M and ADP - Financial Services.
  • Strong knowledge of Accounting Software Systems and CRM.
  • Experience with Business systems and Accounting Functions.
  • Demonstrable experience in Auditing and Budget Processes.
  • Proven expertise in Capital Management and Cash Flow Analysis.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to strategize and solve problems.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Understanding of data privacy standards.
  • Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software.
  • A professional certification such as CFA/CPA is a plus.
