About the position
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Apogee Consulting Group is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization. This position not only involves managing finances but also extends to human resources, negotiations, legal matters, and information technology. The CFO will work closely with the President and the executive management team to ensure financial data transparency and support strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial reporting activities and provide accurate financial information to the President, management, and Board of Directors.
- Assist the President and Board of Directors with financial leadership, planning, and accounting practices.
- Manage relationships with lending institutions, shareholders, and the financial community.
- Provide financial leadership in a high-growth, multi-state environment.
- Collaborate with the executive management team to support decision-making with financial data.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years' experience in a Controller or Chief Financial Officer role.
- Proven experience providing financial leadership in a high-growth, multi-state environment.
- Experience with budgeting and financial reporting.
- Understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning.
- Experience with general ledger functions, financial statement preparation, and year-end close process.
- Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and strategic thinking abilities.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in an Architectural or Engineering related company.
- Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.
