About the position

The CFO will serve as a strategic partner to the executive team, responsible for overseeing the accounting, finance, and FP&A functions within the company. This role is crucial for providing financial insights and driving business performance, particularly in the rapidly evolving crypto and blockchain market. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the crypto industry, including knowledge of blockchain technology, tokens, and options trading, and will be adept at leading financial operations and strategy in a web3 environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s growth objectives and industry trends.
• Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the executive team to guide critical business decisions.
• Lead and manage the accounting and finance team, including FP&A, financial reporting, tax, audit, and treasury functions.
• Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Monitor and manage liquidity, working capital, and capital expenditures, ensuring efficient use of resources.
• Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to crypto-specific financial regulations and reporting requirements.
• Lead initiatives around tokens, cryptocurrencies, and blockchain assets, including financial modeling and reporting.
• Manage risk and compliance related to cryptocurrency transactions and implement best practices in crypto finance and accounting.
• Oversee market-making and listing activities, ensuring effective risk management and strategy execution in alignment with business objectives.
• Engage with investors, partners, and stakeholders to communicate the company’s financial performance and strategy.
• Support capital raising initiatives, including equity and debt financing, and explore new funding avenues in the crypto space.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, processes, and technology to support scale and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role (CFO or similar), ideally within the crypto or blockchain industry.
• Strong knowledge of crypto markets, blockchain technology, and tokens.
• Experience with market-making and managing related financial risks.
• Deep expertise in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), accounting, and treasury management.
• Proven ability to lead finance teams through periods of growth and scale, ideally in a high-growth tech or crypto environment.
• Experience working with stakeholders, including investors and board members, and presenting financial performance and strategic plans.
• Excellent understanding of financial regulations, particularly in the crypto space.
• A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, as well as an MBA or CPA, is preferred.
• Experience with DeFi, NFT platforms, and other web3 financial ecosystems.
• Familiarity with fundraising strategies in the crypto industry, including token sales, ICOs, and equity financing.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, with a stellar work ethic and a collaborative spirit.
