About the position
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, including the preparation of consolidated financial statements, development of key performance indicators (KPIs), and enhancement of internal controls and processes. This role requires strong leadership in financial management, particularly within a manufacturing environment, and involves presenting financial insights to the Board of Directors.
Responsibilities
- Prepare consolidated financial statements for subsidiaries
- Develop KPIs and key financial metrics such as margin analysis and COGS
- Enhance existing internal controls, processes, and systems
- Maintain product costing methodologies and oversee inventory cycle counts
- Review product costing to determine necessary pricing adjustments
- Support ERP implementation and customize Board of Directors reports from systems
- Provide cash flow forecasting on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis
- Prepare board package and present comprehensive financial and operational overview to the Board of Directors
- Oversee retirement plan fiduciary responsibilities, ensuring compliance with plan documents and monitoring investment performance
Requirements
- BS in Accounting required
- CPA, CMA, or MBA highly desired
- 5+ years in a #1 or #2 leadership role
- Manufacturing expertise is a must
- Strong P/L management experience within an engineered products manufacturer serving OEM customers
- Experience with ERP systems in make-to-order and distribution environments
- Strong cost accounting skills
- Costing and inventory experience
- International experience preferred
- Minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership capacity (VP of Finance or CFO)
- Familiarity with PLEX or similar Manufacturing ERP systems
