About the position

We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) based in Bridgeport, Connecticut. This role involves strategic financial management and leadership within our organization, providing the successful applicant with the opportunity to develop financial strategies, oversee financial operations, and foster relationships with external partners.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and treasury activities
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records
• Prepare and present financial reports
• Ensure adherence to all financial reporting and regulatory requirements
• Manage relationships with external partners, including banks, auditors, and other financial service providers
• Oversee the annual budgeting process, monitor actual performance against budget and provide regular updates
• Develop financial forecasting models to support long-term financial planning and decision-making
• Collaborate with senior leaders to develop and implement strategic plans and goals
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
• Oversee all tax filings and compliance requirements, ensuring that the organization adheres to all relevant laws and regulations

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Functions
• Experience in Auditing
• Knowledge of Budget Processes
• Ability to conduct Cash Flow Analysis
• Familiarity with Abila MIP software
• Skills in Financial Statement Preparation
• 10+ years in the Non-Profit Industry
