About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will play a pivotal role in leading the financial operations of a mission-driven nonprofit organization in Richmond, dedicated to care, counseling, adoption, and family services. This position is focused on driving growth, shaping strategy, and building a strong financial foundation to support the organization's commitment to transforming lives and creating a healthier community.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the executive team to oversee accounting and financial operations.
• Manage investor relations and legal matters.
• Oversee transaction processing and employee benefits administration.
• Negotiate partnerships and manage relationships with external partners.
• Establish internal controls and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Manage relationships with auditors and banks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years of senior financial leadership experience, ideally within a mission-driven organization.
• Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with executive leadership.
