About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at EOS Defense Systems USA, Inc. is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organization. This position involves managing financial accounting and reporting, tax preparation, payroll administration, and budget management. The CFO will work closely with the CEO and executive staff to ensure compliance with federal regulations and support the company's strategic goals through effective financial analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities for the organization.
  • Establish guidelines for budget and forecast preparation and prepare the annual company budget in consultation with senior management.
  • Assist department and project managers with budget development and ensure accurate reporting of project/program/department performance versus budget.
  • Coordinate activities of independent financial auditors and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
  • Monitor banking activities and maintain adequate cash flow for the organization.
  • Assist in the contract management process, including budget preparation and financial documentation.
  • Manage and prepare the annual proposal for the indirect rate agreement with the federal government.
  • Process month-end and year-end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Develop financial policies and procedures to support company goals and business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in finance, budgeting, and accounting in a defense contracting environment.
  • Experience with audits and financial reporting requirements for Federal Awards under the Federal Acquisition Regulations.
  • Familiarity with Cost Accounting Standards and FAR Parts 31 and 32.
  • Experience in all areas of accounting including general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize complex information.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite/365 and experience with software packages such as ADP and Epicor.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
