About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Apogee Consulting Group is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization. The CFO will collaborate closely with the President and executive management team to ensure financial data transparency and support strategic decision-making. This position not only focuses on financial management but also encompasses aspects of human resources, negotiations, legal matters, and information technology, making it a multifaceted role within the company.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial reporting activities and provide accurate financial information to the President, management, and Board of Directors.
• Assist the President and Board of Directors with financial leadership, planning, and accounting practices.
• Manage relationships with lending institutions, shareholders, and the financial community.
• Provide financial leadership in a high-growth, multi-state environment.
• Collaborate with the executive management team to support decision-making with financial data.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years' experience in a Controller or Chief Financial Officer role.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance required.
• Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.
• Understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning.
• Experience with general ledger functions, financial statement preparation, and year-end close process.
