About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will oversee the finance function of a well-established non-profit organization in the Greater Cheshire area. This role involves managing the accounting and finance team, strategic planning, budgeting, and financial reporting. The CFO will work closely with the CEO and the Board of Directors, ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining productive relationships with state agency personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Provide CEO with timely financial information necessary for managing programs.
  • Support finance committees of the Board by providing accurate information.
  • Oversee daily financial operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing/collections, and payroll.
  • Prepare, modify, and monitor operational and capital budgets.
  • Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting processes.
  • Manage cash flow and review weekly cash flow reports.
  • Support finance and investment committees with accurate information.
  • Oversee and monitor all phases of the billing process.
  • Lead and manage the financial team.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Requirements

  • BS in accounting or finance; MBA or master's preferred.
  • 10+ years working as a Director or CFO within a non-profit organization.
  • Experience working with DCF, DMHAS, and DSS.
  • CPA is a plus.
