About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at RK Pharma Inc. will oversee the financial functions of the company and its subsidiaries, reporting directly to the CEO. This role is crucial for strategic decision-making and managing the company's financial resources, accounting, and treasury practices. The CFO will be part of the senior management team and will be responsible for the operations of finance departments across multiple locations worldwide, while being based in North Brunswick, NJ.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall financial direction to group companies to fulfill their obligations and financial objectives, including developing an annual budget.
  • Interface with the Board of Directors, Committees, and Senior Management regarding financial statements and the overall financial state of the companies.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements for distribution and review by management and the Board of Directors.
  • Coordinate annual internal and external audits of the company's financial statements.
  • Lead finance/accounting projects, including developing and implementing an inventory costing system and processes for consolidating subsidiaries.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and incentive plans for operational improvements.
  • Prepare month, quarter, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP or IFRS, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Develop an annual budget for the Company and report on budget to actual variances.
  • Manage accounting staff and oversee finance and accounting processes, ensuring effective internal controls.

Requirements

  • CPA designation preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct financial and operational experience in a management role.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including experience with QuickBooks and other financial systems.
  • Exceptional knowledge of financial reporting and budgeting for mid-sized companies.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work with an international team.
  • Knowledge of international financial systems, especially those of India, is heavily preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge or experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry is an asset.
