About the position

The Chairperson of Emergency Medicine at South Shore University Hospital will oversee all operational, clinical, and academic aspects of the department. This leadership role involves collaboration with service line leadership in areas such as recruitment, finance, and business development, while also engaging with a wide network of healthcare professionals within Northwell Health.

Responsibilities

• Provide complete operational oversight of the Emergency Medicine department.
• Ensure clinical excellence and academic integrity within the department.
• Collaborate with service line leadership on recruitment and finance initiatives.
• Engage in business development activities to enhance departmental performance.

Requirements

• Board Certified/Board Prepared in Emergency Medicine.
• Experience in a leadership role within an academic emergency medicine setting.
• Strong background in operational management and clinical oversight.
• Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
