About the position
The Champions Preschool Program Teacher at Shimek Elementary in Iowa City, IA, is responsible for providing high-quality early childhood education to children aged six weeks to 12 years. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a group of teachers to create unique and engaging classroom experiences.
- Ensure the site operates effectively while maintaining licensing, safety, and educational standards.
- Partner with parents to provide the best care and education for their children.
- Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, school leaders, and community contacts.
- Lead recruitment and enrollment efforts of new families and children.
Requirements
- At least one year of teaching experience with the ability to develop, engage, and inspire a team.
- A love for children and a strong desire to make a difference every day.
- Ability to build relationships with families and staff and create a dynamic environment.
- Outstanding customer service skills and strong organizational skills.
- Must meet state-specific guidelines for the role.
- Must be physically able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and engage in physical activity.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English.
