About the position

The Change and Configuration Manager at Leidos will oversee the IT Asset Management (ITAM) processes and configuration management system for the NASA AEGIS Program. This role involves strategic management, problem resolution, and ensuring compliance with configuration management directives. The manager will lead a team of configuration management specialists, manage change requests, and maintain documentation to support operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of entry and mid-level configuration management specialists.
  • Provide configuration management planning and oversight.
  • Regulate the change process to ensure only approved changes are incorporated into product documents.
  • Manage the change request process from initial request through closure.
  • Partner with service delivery management and engineering teams to meet customer expectations and SLAs.
  • Evaluate and potentially re-engineer current business processes for efficiency.
  • Maintain the CMDB to support resource allocation and capacity planning.
  • Document management of various operational and procedural documents.
  • Serve as a key member of the Change Control Board (CCB) and provide technical advisory support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field.
  • 12 years of experience in IT service management or related field.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with remote teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced analytical skills and problem resolution capabilities.
  • Experience in creating Configuration Management Plans.

Nice-to-haves

  • Solid understanding of ITIL Best Practices.
  • Experience in service operations processes, particularly Incident Management.
  • Experience in customer communication and presentations.
  • Proposed and implemented project/program improvements.
