As a Change and Release Management Consultant, you will play a critical role in establishing, maintaining, and implementing the Change and Release Management process specifically for Financial Applications, including Oracle E-business suite and various SaaS applications such as Coupa and Zuora. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that robust procedures are in place to safeguard the production environment, thereby minimizing incidents caused by changes. You will be responsible for ensuring the use of standardized processes and procedures to handle changes efficiently, which is vital for maintaining operational integrity and compliance within the organization. In this role, you will maintain an IT Change Calendar that includes a forward schedule of all planned changes, allowing for better visibility and coordination of change activities. You will manage, coordinate, monitor, and report on these activities, ensuring adherence to established processes. Your ability to audit and drive continuous improvement of the Change and Release Management process will be crucial in enhancing operational efficiency and compliance. Collaboration with other IT teams will be a key aspect of your role, as you will ensure seamless operational service delivery. You will serve as a focal point for escalation and communication activities between users and IT teams, ensuring effective execution of change activities. Highlighting and escalating risks and issues to management will be part of your responsibilities, as will consulting and providing guidance to project teams in preparation for service transition from project to operations. You will also define and track success metrics, monitoring the progress of Change and Release Management initiatives. Proficiency in utilizing Excel and project/portfolio management platforms will be necessary for specific tasks related to Change and Release Management. Additionally, you will implement audit recommendations to improve compliance and risk management, ensuring that the organization adheres to best practices in change management.
