About the position

Leidos is seeking a Change Configuration Control Officer for the Air Force National Capital Region (AFNCR) Information Technology Services (ITS) program within the Digital Modernization Sector. This role is pivotal in ensuring the effective management of job control functions on-site, requiring candidates to hold a SECRET clearance. The Digital Modernization Sector is dedicated to delivering performance-based IT services and solutions, focusing on cloud-factory and as-a-Service capabilities, while integrating commercial products to facilitate a comprehensive digital engineering approach to IT transformation. In this position, the Change Configuration Control Officer will act as the Job Controller for the Cyber Support Squadron (CySS), collaborating with three other squadron Job Controllers. The primary responsibilities include distributing, tracking, and prioritizing all changes and jobs assigned to production work centers (PWCs). The officer will coordinate with developmental and operational teams, including Project and Configuration Managers, to maintain operational baselines and report the status of changes and jobs to customer leadership and the Communications Focal Point (CFP). The role also involves utilizing automated ticketing tools to manage tasks and jobs effectively, implementing US Air Force job control procedures in accordance with Technical Order (TO) 00-33A-1001, and providing necessary updates to the CFP's common operational picture (COP) for senior leader updates. The Change Configuration Control Officer will establish and execute job control procedures that align with customer goals and current Department of Defense (DoD) regulations, ensuring a seamless operational flow within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Act as Job Controller for the Cyber Support Squadron (CySS) and coordinate with other squadron Job Controllers.
  • Distribute, track, and prioritize all changes/jobs assigned to production work centers (PWCs).
  • Coordinate with developmental and operational teams to maintain baselines and support operational systems.
  • Report the status of changes/jobs to customer leadership and the Communications Focal Point (CFP).
  • Use automated ticketing tools to assign or re-assign tasks/jobs between PWCs.
  • Implement US Air Force job control procedures consistent with Technical Order (TO) 00-33A-1001.
  • Assist PWCs and technicians with detailed information as needed.
  • Provide updates to the CFP's common operational picture (COP) for senior leader updates.
  • Establish and execute job control procedures in support of customer goals and current DoD regulations.

Requirements

  • Requires a BS degree and 2+ years of prior relevant experience or a Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience; additional years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to manage/analyze operational information concerning change management/job control.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with customers.
  • Proven experience as a self-starter; successfully operating/producing results with limited daily direction.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in organizational, project, and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively and independently within a team environment.
  • Exceptional ability to solve problems and think analytically.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associate's degree or greater.
  • Superb customer service skills and ability to work independently, prioritize, schedule, and complete multiple tasks.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in specialized area of expertise, especially as it relates to the Department of Defense (DoD).
  • Advanced degree in a technical or business discipline.
  • Experience with JFHQ-DoDIN TASKORDs, MTOs, and IAVMs.
  • Strong written communication skills and ability to coordinate issues and concerns with leadership, peers, and associated teams.
  • Experience with Remedy or an equivalent ticketing system.
  • Prior Air Force experience.
