About the position

The Change Control Manager (CCM) is a pivotal role within the Program Management Organization, primarily responsible for overseeing the development and management of changes and modifications related to Trident's customers and suppliers. This position entails handling various types of change requests, including customer change requests, internal modifications, and producibility business cases, as well as providing assistance in the make-buy process. The CCM plays a crucial role in planning, procurement, and engineering of approved changes and modifications, ensuring that all aspects are aligned with organizational goals and customer expectations. In addition to managing change requests, the CCM will support Trident's Project Manager (PM) in customer negotiations and will be required to attend customer meetings as necessary. Strong leadership, reporting, and presentation skills are essential, as the CCM serves as the focal point for all change development and reporting activities. Regular interaction with Trident's planning, production, engineering, and supply chain personnel is a key aspect of this role, as the CCM will need to gather material and labor estimates to create accurate cost and pricing estimates based on information provided by various functional groups. The CCM is responsible for completing the necessary change forms and finalizing pricing for proposed changes. This role also involves briefing senior management, including the Regional VP, GM, and PMs, on estimates, risks, and primary cost drivers associated with changes. The ability to engage in technical discussions regarding complex ship design and construction is crucial for understanding the scope and inputs required for comprehensive change proposals. Furthermore, the CCM will oversee the incorporation of all changes and modifications throughout the organization, with a strong emphasis on budget and schedule adherence. The position also requires assisting the PM in negotiating customer changes and supporting the Supply Chain in recovering supplier claims. The CCM will prepare various reports, charts, and graphs related to program, project, or contract status and will make presentations to management to keep them informed. Additionally, the CCM will create and maintain a Master Change/Claims log that provides a comprehensive status of all open and closed changes and claims. Acting as the primary point of contact for customers regarding all requested Change Proposals, the CCM will also assist functional management with special assignments and projects that support strategic planning efforts. Adherence to organizational policies and procedures is mandatory in this role.
