The Change Enablement Manager plays an instrumental role in ensuring key organizational initiatives meet objectives on time and on budget by focusing on preparing for, managing and sustaining change. This role will focus on the people side of change, with responsibilities for the following: Partner with project management and sponsorship to determine success outcomes and key performance indicators that impact changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organizational development and support needs. Create and implement change management strategies and plans, following an established methodology (e.g., PROSCI, Kotter), that improve employee engagement, adoption, usage and sustainability while minimizing change resistance and anticipating potential change fatigue. Use influence, consulting and collaboration to propel change with cross-functional teams and networks (no direct supervisory responsibility). Provide direct support and coaching to frontline leaders as they lead their teams through transitions.

Responsibilities

  • Partner directly with project management to integrate OCM activities into project plans
  • Complete change management assessments (e.g., gap assessments, sponsor assessments) to recognize change impacts to stakeholders, leaders, associates and organizations
  • Create change management, engagement and training strategies
  • Identify and analyze risks, establish mitigation plans
  • Consult and coach cross-collaborative business and HR functional teams
  • Create, manage and establish success measures for communications and training plans, sponsor roadmap, coaching and change resistance plans
  • Create comprehensive communications utilizing different vehicles that support and build engagement with different audiences
  • Coordinate with learning and development resources to create and develop training plans and collateral
  • Coordinate with change management team, internal communications and other OCM specialists to prioritize and bundle efforts when possible
  • Evaluate and ensure associate readiness to effectively adopt change
  • Lead and engage partners' expectations
  • Anticipate, address and expeditiously raise OCM issues to appropriate levels
  • Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress
  • Determine change reinforcement tactics that actively celebrate wins, outline successes and solicit for continuous improvement
  • Influence post-implementation transition and sustainment plan with permanent initiative owners and teams
  • Support change management at the organizational level, including OCM Center of Excellence and Community of Practice
  • Effectively manage, prioritize and share portfolio and change load

Requirements

  • 5-7 years professional organizational change management experience, or the equivalent/combined in job-relevant work experience (e.g., communications, strategic planning)
  • Possess a solid understanding of how people navigate through change and how to customize various change processes that fit the need of transition
  • Exceptional and creative written and verbal skills as well as well-developed interpersonal, organizational, strategic, and analytical skills
  • Ability to navigate unfamiliar organizations to establish and maintain strong relationships
  • Ability to influence others and move them to a common goal
  • Flexible and adaptable - comfortable working in ambiguity, picking up projects or tactics already in progress
  • Resilient and tenacious - ensuring people side of change is prioritized with project team, business partners, leaders and sponsors
  • Strategic implementer - able to create a plan and see or finish action through to close
  • Able to work effectively and seamlessly between all organizational levels - executive to field and all in between
  • Familiarity with project management phases, tools and approaches (e.g., PMO, waterfall approach, AGILE methodology)
  • Process improvement focused, creating more effective and efficient ways of working
  • Demonstrated expertise in change management methods and tools, process improvement and redesign, and learning and development
  • Advanced engagement abilities — written and verbal - that influence and inspire associates while ensuring messages tie back to business vision and purpose
  • Experience creating and completing large-scale, enterprise or multi-functional change programs
  • A positive attitude and a collaborator with a desire to impact change

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification from or extensive working knowledge of a formal change management methodology (e.g., PROSCI, Kotter, Accenture)
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
