About the position

The Change Execution Project Manager for Mortgage Servicing at Truist is responsible for leading and managing complex internal projects from initiation to completion. This role requires expert-level project management skills to ensure projects align with business strategies and are completed on time and within budget. The position involves coordinating project planning activities, managing stakeholder relationships, and utilizing project management methodologies to improve processes and workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Leads project planning activities for large, complex projects.
  • Defines problems and scope parameters, organizes project teams, and assigns responsibilities.
  • Develops project schedules and milestones, identifying resource requirements.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with stakeholders and manages resources throughout the project.
  • Measures project performance using appropriate systems and tools.
  • Reports on project status including key performance indicators, cost, timing, and staffing.
  • Performs risk management to minimize project risks and resolves obstacles to project completion.
  • Recommends schedule changes, cost adjustments, or resource additions as necessary.
  • Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation.
  • Identifies and resolves complex issues, escalating to management as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in consulting, project management, or process improvement.
  • Expert-level understanding of project management frameworks and methodologies.
  • Highly developed skills in developing and implementing processes and operational plans.
  • Proven leadership in implementing complex projects and issue resolution.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Expert-level cost and risk management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time, delegate, and problem-solve effectively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., MBA) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma or similar methodologies.
  • Experience implementing large/complex initiatives across a matrix organization.
  • In-depth knowledge of management and planning systems theory.
  • Experience with financial measurements and metrics.
  • Financial Services experience.
