About the position
The Change Management Lead position is a one-year contract role within the Office for Educational Innovation at UC San Diego. This role involves establishing and overseeing organizational change management (OCM) strategies for enterprise-level projects and organizational changes. The Change Management Lead will work autonomously, partnering with various stakeholders to manage project timelines, budgets, resources, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with the university's vision and goals. The position requires collaboration with other OCM leads and supervision of junior OCM staff to achieve OCM goals. The role is critical in engaging with the university community to support change engagement and adoption.
Responsibilities
- Establish and oversee the execution of organizational change management strategies and plans.
- Lead large-scale projects with organization-wide impact, managing timelines, budgets, resources, risks, and deliverables.
- Collaborate with other OCM leads to develop focused plans in support of overall OCM efforts.
- Supervise and manage a team of junior OCM staff.
- Engage with and coach sponsors, project leadership, and the wider university community.
Requirements
- Proven ability to use organizational change management methodologies to lead complex initiatives.
- Project leadership experience with the ability to execute and finalize projects within budget and deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with diverse populations.
- Strong communication skills to influence and present to all levels of staff.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to respond to complex and stressful situations.
