About the position

The Change Management Subject Matter Expert (SME) position is a full-time role based in Northampton, MA, with remote work options and some travel required to the Baltimore, MD area. The primary responsibility of this role is to assess the impact of proposed changes on various stakeholders and develop strategies to effectively manage resistance, ensuring successful adoption of changes within the organization. This involves collaborating with teams, providing guidance and support to project leads, coordinating and co-leading presentations, and supporting communication and recommendations for training programs. The Change Management SME will be responsible for developing and executing change management strategies, approaches, and plans that ensure maximum employee adoption and minimum resistance, ultimately leading to successful program and project outcomes. This includes conducting change management assessments, stakeholder identification, impact analysis, and change readiness evaluations. The role requires utilizing structured methodologies and tools to create stakeholder engagement, communication, and learning strategies, producing key deliverables such as communications plans, coaching plans, training plans, stakeholder engagement plans, readiness plans, and resistance management plans. In addition, the Change Management SME will collaborate with various business units and stakeholders to drive organizational transformation and achieve project success by ensuring consistent change adoption across the organization. Coaching executive leadership and other key stakeholders to facilitate successful change is also a critical aspect of this role. The position requires establishing efficient communication processes and artifacts to support the project team, gathering stakeholder feedback regarding new systems and processes, and ensuring the timely execution of Organizational Change Management (OCM)-related project deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the impact of proposed changes on various stakeholders.

  • Ensure timely execution of OCM-related project deliverables.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience on major change or transformation projects.
  • Bachelor's degree with a focus in organization development, change management, public health, public policy, health policy, or health economics.
  • Training in change management or Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP) preferred.
  • PROSCI Certification preferred.
  • Specializes in guiding federal organizations through the process of change.
  • In-depth knowledge and expertise in change management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in coaching managers and leaders in leading change initiatives.
  • Experience executing change management in Healthcare is preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate with teams and provide guidance to project leads.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience developing and executing change management strategies and plans.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and requirements gathering.
  • Solid project management skills and proficiency with change management tools.
