About the position

The Change Manager at Lumos Networks plays a crucial role in facilitating organizational change by focusing on the people side of change management. This position is responsible for preparing, supporting, and equipping employees to adopt changes in organizational structure, business processes, and systems. The Change Manager will lead conversations, develop strategic initiatives, and implement systems to minimize resistance and maximize adoption, ultimately achieving successful outcomes for the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct impact analysis and assess change readiness.
  • Identify key stakeholders from a people and process perspective.
  • Create actionable deliverables for core change management plans including Sponsor Plan, People Manager Plan, Communications Plan, and Training Plan.
  • Effectively communicate with project stakeholders.
  • Identify, analyze, and minimize risks and resistance to change.
  • Enable the design, development, delivery, and management of important communications.
  • Work with trainers to develop programs that help employees understand and adapt to change.
  • Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress.
  • Coordinate and integrate change management activities into project plans with project managers and technical teams.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of organization change management activities and propose actions to resolve obstacles.
  • Provide clear, streamlined written and oral updates regarding milestones, status, risks, achievements, processes, methods, technologies, and proposed solutions.
  • Develop and maintain effective professional relationships with internal and external contacts and vendors.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3+ years' experience managing end-to-end change in people, processes, and business systems.
  • Hands-on experience identifying change problems early and effectively solving them.
  • Proven experience working in project teams and executing a change program.
  • Change management certification (PROSCI, ITIL, etc.) is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the telecommunications industry.
  • Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies.
