The Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) at UCSF is seeking a Change Management Consultant to lead the campus through our transition to a replacement IRB Management Platform. This position is crucial as we will be transitioning from a highly customized software system to a vendor-supported, SaaS model that is far less customizable. The ideal candidate will possess both technical and business process experience in the IRB environment, enabling them to effectively engage with stakeholders, communicate configuration decisions, and identify technical limitations and gaps that need to be addressed during the transition to the new system. The consultant will be responsible for developing and executing a transition plan that ensures a seamless shift to a more streamlined set of business processes. This role requires an expert grasp of IRB-related regulations and best practices, as the consultant will need to navigate complex regulatory environments while ensuring compliance with federal regulations, state laws, and University policies. The position is a fully benefited, 2-year contract role, and the salary range is between $132,000 and $204,000, depending on experience and internal equity within the position classification at UCSF. The HRPP at UCSF plays a vital role in ensuring the ethical and equitable treatment of all human research subjects involved in studies conducted by UCSF faculty. The program is committed to maintaining compliance with national standards for research involving human participants, making this position integral to the success of the HRPP and the broader research community at UCSF.
