About the position

The Changeover Staff position at ASM Global is a part-time role that plays a crucial part in the operations of various events at the Richmond Coliseum, Altria Theater, Richmond CenterStage, and Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center. The staff will work under the supervision of the Operations Supervisor and will be responsible for assisting in the setup and teardown of events, ensuring that all necessary items are in place for a successful event. This role requires a hands-on approach to moving, arranging, and setting up equipment, as well as cleaning and maintaining the facilities before, during, and after events. The Changeover Staff will be expected to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on the event schedule. This position is ideal for individuals who are flexible, reliable, and able to work in various conditions, including both indoor and outdoor environments. The role may also involve working at heights and requires physical stamina and strength to lift and move heavy items as needed.

Responsibilities

• Moving, arranging, setting and removal of items needed for events.
• Set-up and tear-down of stages, tables, chairs, barricades, linens, and equipment.
• Assembly and disassembly of animal penning.
• Cleaning and upkeep of buildings including buffing, dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, washing windows, cleaning toilets, urinals, mirrors, walls, arena seats, and trash cans.
• Clean-up during and after events.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Some experience using hand tools preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English in emergency situations for safety purposes.
• Reliable and consistent transportation during irregular hours.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in event setup and teardown.
• Familiarity with cleaning and maintenance tasks.
