About the position

The Changeover Crew serves as an integral part of the event operations and conversions staff, playing a crucial role before, during, and after events as necessary. This position is responsible for organizing and orchestrating the flow of warehouse and related equipment inventory, ensuring that all materials are in place for successful event execution. The crew will be involved in moving, picking up, delivering, and installing equipment, furniture, and other materials as assigned based on the specific needs of each event. This includes hanging banners and signage as required, assisting with various facility and event projects, and executing all event set-up and break-down according to the event schedule. The Changeover Crew will assist in the execution of both large-scale and smaller facility events, which may include athletic competitions, concerts, and community events. Responsibilities may involve setting up stages, tables, chairs, dasher boards, basketball floors, and other event-related needs. The role demands a commitment to providing first-class customer service, ensuring that all aspects of the event run smoothly and efficiently. The position requires flexibility in scheduling, as it includes nights and weekends dictated by the events held in the facilities. This role is ideal for individuals just entering the workforce or returning with limited experience and education. Responsibilities

  • Move, pickup, and deliver equipment, supplies, and other materials related to events.
  • Install event-related equipment including tables, chairs, stages, and athletic competition items for various sports.
  • Facilitate warehouse equipment movement and setup/teardown.
  • Assist with the construction of event staging, seating risers, and other event materials.
  • Repair custom equipment as needed.
  • Serve as facility contact to adjust setups and monitor on-demand event changes.
  • Ensure the facility is properly set for events based on requirements.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • One year of similar work experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in event management including athletic competitions, musical concerts, community events, and/or filming.
  • Understanding of large venue, facility, or public assembly building operations and maintenance.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn city and state building codes and OSHA work standards.
