About the position

The Channel Development Lead at Humana is responsible for defining the sales product strategy across multiple lines of business, targeting specific markets and business segments. This role involves developing key performance indicators to enhance sales program effectiveness, driving market share growth, and collaborating with various stakeholders to create competitive sales plans. The position requires independent judgment and decision-making on complex issues, with a focus on translating sales strategies into actionable programs and ensuring effective communication with management and team members.

Responsibilities

  • Define the sales product strategy for multiple lines of business targeting specific markets.
  • Develop key performance indicators to drive sales program effectiveness.
  • Provide data-driven expertise and management reporting to improve sales performance.
  • Develop go-to-market strategies and identify new business opportunities.
  • Identify key areas of improvement through trend and utilization analysis.
  • Collaborate closely with business leaders, marketing, and finance for strategic sales plans.
  • Advise executives on functional strategies regarding significant matters.
  • Exercise independent judgment on complex issues related to job duties.
  • Translate specific sales strategies into executable programs and timelines.
  • Communicate status, priorities, strategies, and success metrics to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with MarketPoint Leadership and other partners as necessary.
  • Serve as a thought partner to MarketPoint leaders with strong communication abilities.
  • Lead meetings to ensure shared understanding among participants.
  • Execute project plans to meet timelines.

Requirements

  • 4 or more years of technical experience
  • 2 or more years working with telephony IVR or CRM application
  • 2 or more years of project leadership experience
  • 2 or more years of sales experience in the health solutions industry
  • Experience collaborating with key stakeholders on strategic initiatives
  • Experience communicating with strategic level leaders
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access
  • Passion for contributing to an organization focused on improving consumer experiences.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • PMP Certification
  • Active or previous health license for Medicare
  • Experience training and/or coaching professionals
  • Strong business acumen
  • Knowledge of Sales Force and/or Smartsheet
