The ideal candidate for this position will possess a minimum of five years of experience in marketing, sales, business development, project management, or product management, with a strong emphasis on retail channels. The role requires advanced planning, project management, and organizational skills, along with excellent oral and written communication abilities. The Channel Manager must demonstrate strong analytical skills and technical acumen, as well as proficiency in Microsoft products and marketing technology. Building effective business relationships with both internal and external clients is crucial, as is the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment. In addition to strategic planning and channel support, the Channel Manager will be responsible for market analysis and insights, tracking market trends, conducting competitive price analysis, and serving as a trend expert for retail partner presentations. The role also involves managing agency relationships, executing new channel initiatives, and adhering to the company's core values and principles. The Channel Manager will lead internal and external presentations, deliver customer-specific plans, and drive business development tools, all while supervising Associate Channel Managers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies for targeted business segments.
  • Provide strategic input to key company initiatives and manage projects for effective program launches.
  • Manage the new product life cycle including introductions, improvements, and discontinuances.
  • Couple product strategy with marketing strategy including pricing and competitive positioning.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and meetings involving sales, product management, customer care, quality, engineering, and finance.
  • Create launch presentations and videos to communicate product information and excitement.
  • Establish marketing plans to drive brand voice in the channel and train sales teams on brand programs.
  • Build and execute strategy for channel merchandising including marketing assets and product packaging.
  • Track market trends and conduct competitive price analysis.
  • Manage agency relationships and identify opportunities for process efficiency.
  • Develop and execute pricing strategies and manage price changes with retail partners.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, sales, business development, project management, or product management.
  • Experience in leading teams and exposure to retail channels.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred; graduate degree is a plus.
  • Advanced planning, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including experience with business presentations.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and technical acumen.
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft products; marketing technology experience is desired.
  • Ability to build effective business relationships with internal and external clients.
