About the position

The Channel Manager I is responsible for achieving sales targets by managing agent relationships and generating sales for TPx Communications. This role focuses on training agents, recruiting new agents, and providing ongoing support to ensure successful sales of Managed Services including Managed IT, Managed Security, Managed WAN, and Unified Communications services.

Responsibilities

  • Train TPx Agents on products, order processes, support procedures, portals, commissions, and pricing.
  • Own initial and ongoing sales training and strategic planning.
  • Recruit new agents to sign agreements with TPx or work under existing agents' agreements.
  • Assist agents in creating, presenting, and closing opportunities with potential customers.
  • Provide ongoing agent channel management by forecasting, tracking productivity, and making program modifications as necessary.
  • Secure monthly sales promotions and launch new products and services.
  • Provide accurate weekly and monthly forecasting and sales funnels to management.
  • Communicate product, process, or policy changes to assigned agents.
  • Provide competitive feedback to sales management and marketing.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years' sales experience in the telecommunications industry.
  • Minimum 3 years' sales experience in the Agent Channel for a carrier or Telecom Agency.
  • Demonstrated experience in a sales position with the ability to close sales.
  • Experience selling multiple products and achieving sales performance in past positions.
  • Experience in selling Managed Solutions like Managed Security, Managed WAN, Managed IT, or Unified Communications.
