About the position

The Channel Marketing Specialist at Fortune Brands is responsible for driving wholesale business growth through strategic marketing initiatives. This role involves leading programs that enhance brand loyalty among the Outdoors brand and its wholesale partners, developing tailored marketing materials, and executing omnichannel marketing efforts. The position is designed to prepare specialists for future growth within the marketing function, emphasizing strategic planning and project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead dealer, builder and contractor programs including program strategy, requirements and enhancements, promotions, and other marketing initiatives to drive growth.
  • Develop and execute promotions that grow Outdoors product sales and drive brand loyalty.
  • Support the development and review of custom marketing literature and merchandising aids for assigned districts and channel partners.
  • Manage local and regional shows, events and customer engagements for all Outdoors brands ensuring brand representation, product assortment and customer engagement at all events.
  • Create and manage local and regional tradeshow strategy for all outdoors brands by collaborating cross functionally internally and externally with tradeshow vendors.
  • Manage Tradeshow Kit/Tabletop Package Strategy for all outdoors brands.
  • Responsible for managing project budgets and marketing spend for assigned projects.
  • Prepare and present project updates to internal and external project stakeholders.
  • Manage outside agencies and vendors as needed.
  • Collaborate with assigned districts and key customers on field requests for marketing support.
  • Support other marketing and sales initiatives as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or communications
  • 2+ years of experience in marketing, advertising, or event marketing/trade shows
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proven experience utilizing project management skills managing both traditional and digital-based marketing tools
  • Ability to work with complex products and attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Background in both B2C and B2B (channel) marketing

  • Creative and strategic mindset that works well in fast-paced cross-functional team environments.
