About the position

The Chaplain at Providence provides professional spiritual care to patients in various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and community environments. This role is essential in addressing the spiritual, religious, and emotional needs of individuals, ensuring that the mission and values of the Department of Spiritual Health Services are upheld. The Chaplain will travel to see patients in Westside and surrounding areas, contributing to a culture of patient-focused care within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual care ministry to patients and their families.
• Address the spiritual, religious, and emotional needs of patients in various settings.
• Implement the mission, values, policies, and procedures of the Department of Spiritual Health Services.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to support patient care.
• Travel to see patients in Westside and surrounding areas.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Theology, Divinity, Spirituality, Pastoral Ministry, or equivalent education from an accredited institution.
• Completion of 4 units of accredited training in Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE).
• National Chaplain Certification within 3 years of hire.
