About the position
The Chaplain Internship at Kaiser Permanente offers a unique opportunity for individuals to gain professional education and training in Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) at two hospitals in Portland, Oregon. This program is designed to accommodate diverse backgrounds and is accredited by Chaplaincy Pro. Interns will engage in both educational and clinical experiences, including patient visits and documentation, while receiving support from experienced CPE Supervisors.
Responsibilities
- Complete 100 hours of educational training either in-person or via Zoom.
- Conduct 300 hours of patient visits and document interactions.
- Participate in CPE training sessions held three times a year.
- Collaborate with CPE Supervisors for guidance and support during the internship.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related area.
